CARREER
As a competitive athlete in my youth and young adulthood, I competed in tournaments
and competitions around the world. I was trained by cutting-edge, first-generation
sports scientists whose focus was on targeted training management, as well as
metabolic and efficacy research
After my active career in competitive sports, I used the gained insights to further my
academic education in the field of sports medicine and to develop new methods.
In Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina) I studied sports science and started my
research.
Afterwards, I completed my Master’s degree in Prevention, Physical Activity and
Health in Salzburg.
At the University of Vienna, I specialized in exercise science, sports physiology and
performance diagnostics and obtained my PhD.
My mentor, the sports physician and pioneer Prof. Dr. medical Univ. Norbert Bachl
(President of the European Society for Sports Medicine (EFSM)), enabled my intensive
and specialized research.
In the following years, my path led me to various countries, where I was able to gain
experience in the treatment of top athletes from different disciplines.
